On Friday, March 20, 2026, the exhibition “On the Border Between Reality and Dream”, dedicated to the work of one of the most significant artists of the contemporary Serbian scene, Miloš Šobajić, was ceremonially opened at Winery La Gora.
The exhibition was officially opened by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Nikola Selaković, who emphasized that the works of this Serbian artist of remarkable biography radiate a powerful and authentic expression of artistic freedom, as well as a profound reflection on contemporary man—his fears, hopes, and inner struggles. Selaković noted that the exhibition serves as a reminder of the beauty and achievement of Šobajić’s artistic expression, and expressed gratitude to the representatives of the winery, which is beginning to develop its exhibition program—an initiative aimed at presenting significant artistic practices of contemporary Serbian, and not only Serbian, art.
In addition to the Minister of Culture, attendees were also addressed by the owner of the winery and architect of the building, Mr. Goran Babić, whose vision of merging wine culture, art, and the unique landscape of Fruška Gora formed the foundation of this innovative project. Guests were also addressed by Ms. Jelena Medaković, Secretary for Culture of the City of Belgrade, and curator Saša Janjić, who highlighted the importance of Šobajić’s oeuvre as well as the significance of the new exhibition space as a meeting point for art, audiences, and contemporary cultural practices.
The opening attracted a large number of visitors from the worlds of art, culture, and public life, and was followed by an appropriate cocktail reception in the unique ambiance of the winery.
This exhibition also marked the inauguration of a new exhibition space within Winery La Gora, conceived as a platform for the presentation of contemporary art and future international collaboration. In the coming period, numerous artistic programs are planned, including exhibitions, guided tours, and workshops for young artists.
The first public guided tour of the exhibition is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at 1:00 PM. Interested visitors will be guided through the exhibition and the winery by curator Saša Janjić.
The exhibition is open to visitors from Thursday to Sunday, between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
The exhibition “On the Border Between Reality and Dream” will remain open to visitors until April 25, 2026.
